Join expert, Sarah Hatton for this all-absorbing workshop in basketry. On day one you will weave a small round basket using traditional English and French techniques. The second day offers the chance to make a round/oval basket with a handle or another item of your choice. Alternatively you may decide to construct a large log basket or similar over the 2 days.
This course is designed for all abilities from the complete novice to experienced basket makers.

We are delighted to welcome Sarah as a visiting tutor. Sarah is an experienced basket maker and willow grower based in the South Wales Valleys town of Caerphilly. Through her company ‘Hatton Willow’ she is committed to making quality willow baskets using materials grown in the UK.
She has taken part in a number of larger commissions and runs a sister business called Lily Willow Coffins

Timings & Refreshments
Start: Join us from 9.30am for tea/coffee and introductions. Tuition starts at 10.00am
End: Course finishes around 4.30pm
There is an hour for lunch and breaks whenever you wish.
A tasty light lunch is included in the course fee. Let us know of any special dietary needs.
Drinks and biscuits are available all day to help yourself with home-made cake mid afternoon.
