Introductory Course - for complete beginners Intermediate Course - for those who have already completed the above or similar 5-day Summer School - for both beginners and those with experience
	The Course (Two days) A practical workshop for students with some experience of cutting glass who wish to learn the traditional method of leadwork. Over the 2 days students will have the opportunity to design and construct their own individual leaded panel with a surface area of approximately 1 square foot (maximum).
	Tutor: Lilian Shaw Lilian trained originally as a painter working in oils and pastels. Her passion for light and colour led her to pursue a career as a stained glass artist. She founded her own studio in 1986. Lilian has many varied commissions to her name both in the UK and abroad. These include pieces for private clients, churches and the National Trust. She is an experienced and enthusiastic tutor.
Materials Materials can selected and purchased from stock. A good range of coloured glass will be available and lead of different widths. The price varies depending upon your chosen project (panel size, colours, glass types etc). In addition, there is cover charge of £6 per person for basic materials such as solder, tallow, cement, whiting and use of tools.

Health & Safety

This workshop involves the handling and soldering of metals (specifically lead, tin and copper). It also requires the use of sharp materials, hot tools and chemicals. Protective goggles, gloves and dust masks will be provided.
