This
practical workshop provides an ideal introduction to the ancient
craft of pebble mosaic. The course covers two different techniques
enabling students to create their own decorative paving features
for the garden. |
The
Course (Two days)
The course starts with an inspirational slide show followed by technical
and artistic guidance on methods and materials.
Over the two days students will create two small paving slabs to
take home together with the knowledge and experience to continue
with larger projects of their own in the future. |
Tutor:
Peter Massey
Peter is a professional artist/designer and co-founder of Zantium
Mosaics. Pebbles provide the ideal medium for transforming exterior
surfaces. Peter has created commissions for parks, playgrounds and
sensory gardens. His designs frequently feature animal and plant
forms, celebrating the natural hues and tactile qualities of this
aesthetic, hard-wearing material. |
Materials
Materials (pebbles, rocks, slate, sand, cement, reinforcing wire
etc.) are available for purchase. Cost varies depending upon surface
area. |
