The Course (Five days)

Throughout the course there will be slide shows, talks and demonstrations. Design and technical advice is given as a group or on a one to one basis. Over the five days students have chance to experiment with different materials and techniques or concentrate on one specific larger project.

Tutor: Peter Massey

Peter is co-founder of Zantium, a creative partnership specialising in mosaic. Varied commissions range from decorative panels and furnishings to larger architectural works such as shop interiors and pavements. Their distinctive mosaics are featured in several publications including their own book "A Beginner's Guide to Mosaic" (Search Press).

Materials

A selection of quality materials will be available at an additional charge. Depending on the project, the price is typically around £15 per square foot of mosaic. This includes the base board, adhesive, most mosaic tile ranges and grout.
Note: This materials charge is in addition to the course fee which includes tuition, lunch and refreshments.

Metal table bases can be made to order by prior arrangement. These start at around £120.
