Join specialist willow sculptor, Caroline Gregson, for an inspiring weekend creating your own willow animals. Creatures great and small are all possible under her expert guidance. The unique 'characters' you take home at the end of the course will enhance any garden or living space. This is a fun and accessible medium which gives impressive results in a relatively short space of time. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some willow or sculpture experience. |
The Course (Two days)This course provides an opportunity for you to learn all about willow... how to grow it, prepare it and sculpt it to form 3 dimensional works of art. Caroline has perfected the technique of building entirely of willow without the need for a metal framework or wires. Over the weekend she will help you to design and construct either one four-legged animal or a pair of bird sculptures. Pigs and cats are always popular but feel free to let your imagination run wild! Previous students have produced foxes, pheasants, herons, hares and chickens. Abstract forms are equally possible if you prefer this approach. |
