Zantium run several mosaic courses each year in Oxford. These take place at Waterperry Gardens, near Wheatley. This inspiring location is a renowned horticultural centre offering extensive grounds, quality nursery and the Art in Action Gallery.

Tile Mosaic

This weekend course is ideal for both beginners and the more experienced. It explores traditional and modern techniques in these two versatile materials. Projects may include decorative panels, mirror frames or small table tops.
More advanced students may like the chance to try other techniques such as the indirect method or 3D applications.

Pebble Mosaic

This weekend workshop provides an ideal introduction to the ancient craft of pebble mosaic. The course covers two different techniques enabling you to create your own decorative paving features for the garden.
Explore the endless possibilities of pattern, shape and colour using attractive natural materials.

We have no dates for Pebble Mosaic courses in Oxford this year. We are, however, offering a Pebble Mosaic weekend at our home studios in Derbyshire on 9th & 10th August 2008. There is also usually the opportunity to try some pebble work during our 5-day mosaic courses (Summer School/Autumn School).

2008 Prices: Our two-day course at Waterperry Gardens in Oxford costs £145 per person.
This includes materials, tuition fees and refreshments (but not lunch.)

Deposit: A £30 deposit per person is required on booking to secure your place. The balance of £115 is due 3 weeks before the course. (Please see booking form below.)

Lunch: Light meals and snacks are available on site from the Pear Tree Tea Rooms or students are welcome to bring a packed lunch.

Hours: 10.00am - 4.30pm with approximately an hour for lunch.

Accommodation: Zantium cannot offer accommodation for Oxford courses. However, Oxford Tourist Information Centre can be contacted for a full list of accommodation in the area.

A deposit is required to reserve a place on any course. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable in the event of your cancellation.
Should we receive an insufficient number of bookings for any course, Zantium reserve the right to cancel, offering you a full refund or transfer to another course.
Students are responsible for their own insurance. Zantium cannot accept liability for
any loss or damage to personal possessions during your course.
Courses are generally not suitable for children under the age of 12.
Any photos taken during the course are the property of Zantium and may be used in future marketing activities.
