Explore the fascinating art of fused glass on this one-day workshop.
A colourful introduction to a wonderful array of glass in many forms. Learn how to cut, shape and assemble materials to create beautiful pieces of your own. Become familiar with different firing techniques and fuse finishes. Projects include coasters, light catchers, dishes and jewellery. Your creations will be kiln fired after the workshop for collection/postage 2 weeks later.
Open to both beginners and those with experience.

Katerina is a professional glass artist with a degree in Decorative Arts. She creates beautiful pieces in bold jewel-like colours. She exhibits at galleries and prestigious shows across the country. We are delighted to welcome her to share her expertise here at Zantium Studios.

A wide selection of materials and colours will be available: sheet glass, powder, stringers, confetti and frit. Also inclusions such as wire, mica powder, copper and brass. We will use Bullseye glass (a premium quality fusing glass which delivers brilliant results).
All tools and equipment are provided. You will be required to wear safety glasses when cutting glass.
Materials & kiln firing fee: £25 – £40 depending on how many projects you make (Note, this materials charge is in addition to the course fee.)
Your work will be ready for collection approx. 2 weeks after the course. Items can be carefully packaged and posted to you for an additional charge.
Timings & Refreshments
Start time: Join us from 9.30am for tea/coffee and introductions. Tuition starts at 10.00am
End time: Tuition finishes around 4.30pm
There is an hour for lunch and breaks whenever you wish.
A tasty light lunch is included in the course fee. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available all day to help yourself and there will be home-made cake mid afternoon.
