Learn the art of pointed pen and ink calligraphy on this all absorbing one day workshop. From initial concepts to finishing flourishes, Alison will take you through step by step to develop your own distinctive style.
Go with the flow practising basic strokes and shapes. Play with letter-forms, layout and script to create projects of your own. Perfect if you are organising a wedding/special event, wish to acquire a new skill or simply want to add personalised touches to gifts.
Open to both beginners and those with experience.

Alison is a Derbyshire based calligrapher with a string of varied commissions to her name. Her beautiful bespoke work has been used for branding, product design and events.

Each student will receive a personalised pack to use on the course and take home. This includes a pointed pen, specialist ink, pencil and a pad of dotted paper. Alison also provides her own set of guide sheets.
The materials fee: approx £15 per person

Timings & Refreshments
Start time: Join us from 9.30am for tea/coffee and introductions. Tuition starts at 10.00am
End time: Tuition finishes around 4.30pm
There is an hour for lunch and breaks whenever you wish.
A tasty light lunch is included in the course fee. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available all day to help yourself and there will be home-made cake mid afternoon.
