The Course

Combine traditional glass painting with lead work. You will create a small stained glass panel to take home and some samples. Open to both beginners and those with experience.

Day 1 –  Learn the basics of stained glass painting using black/brown tracing colour. Experiment with mark making techniques such as shading, sgraffito and applying texture. Learn how to cut glass safely and produce a simple design of your own made up of several pieces.

Overnight firing in the kiln

Day 2 – Assemble your panel using lead, joining the sections with solder. Apply glass cement; then clean and polish to finish.

“What amazing results from our 2 day stained glass workshop with Jane – the panels are all stunning!” R.A. (Yorkshire)
