Explore the fascinating art of fused glass. Experiment with a range of materials and processes to craft exquisite pieces of your own. Projects are kiln fired to form light catchers, coasters, dishes and jewellery.
Also know as kiln-formed glass or warm glass, amazing effects can be achieved using temperatures of around 800 degrees C. Learn how to cut, shape and assemble materials, layering samples and combining with other elements. Your creations will be kiln fired after the workshop for collection/postage approximately 2 weeks later.
Open to both beginners and those with experience.

Katerina is a professional glass artist with a degree in Decorative Arts. She creates beautiful pieces in bold jewel-like colours. She exhibits at galleries and prestigious shows across the country. We are delighted to welcome her to share her expertise here at Zantium Studios.

A wide selection of materials and colours will be available: sheet glass, powder, stringers, confetti and frit. Kat uses Bullseye glass (a premium quality fusing glass which delivers brilliant results). Also inclusions such as wire, mica powder, copper and brass.
All tools and equipment are provided. You will be required to wear safety glasses when cutting glass.
Materials & kiln firing fee: approx £25 – £50 depending on how many projects you make. Note: This is in addition to the course fee
Your work will be ready for collection approx. 2 weeks after the course. Items can be carefully packaged and posted to you for an additional charge.
