Fused Glass – 1 or 2 day course

The Course

Explore the fascinating art of glass fusion on this one or two day course.

An introduction to a wonderful array of glass in many forms. Learn how to cut, shape and assemble materials to create beautiful pieces of your own. Become familiar with different firing techniques and fuse finishes. Design your own 2D and 3D projects such as coasters, light catchers, bowls, platters, plant pot stakes or jewellery. Your creations will be kiln fired after the workshop for collection/postage at a later date.

Open to both beginners and those with experience.

A wide selection of materials will be available, including sheet glass, frit, stringer, confetti, dichroic, vitrigraph stringer, chopped cane, cabochons and Glass Line (liquid glass) in a range of colours and finishes.

All tools and equipment are provided. You will be required to wear safety glasses when cutting glass.

Materials & kiln firing fee: £20 – £30 per day, depending upon your chosen projects. (Note, this materials charge is in addition to the course fee.)

Your work will be ready to collect 2 or 3 weeks after the course. Items can be carefully packaged and posted to you for an additional charge.

Timings & Refreshments

Start time: Join us from 9.30am for tea/coffee and introductions. Tuition starts at 10.00am
End time: Tuition finishes around 4.30pm

There is an hour for lunch and breaks whenever you wish.

A tasty light lunch is included in the course fee. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available all day to help yourself and there will be home-made cake mid afternoon.
