Join us in the studio for five blissful days of mosaic! Open to both beginners and those with experience, this course offers a great choice of projects and techniques. The possibilities are endless – table tops, splash backs, terracotta pots, paving slabs…
Throughout the week there will be talks, demonstrations and lots of uninterrupted making time. Peter will offer design and technical advice to the group or on an individual basis. Try your hand at different styles using a range of beautiful materials. Tackle one large project or experiment with several smaller ones.

Peter and Alison are the founders of Zantium Studios, a creative partnership specialising in mosaic. Their activities include designing, making and teaching. Their work has appeared in various publications, RHS shows and has been featured on Channel 4 TV.
Graduating from The Royal College of Art in 1994, Peter originally worked as an illustrator for clients such as Ladybird Books and The Natural History Museum. He developed a strong interest in mosaic and Zantium was established in 1998.

Materials
We offer a tempting selection of glass and ceramic tesserae. We also stock embellishments such as beads, glass globules and mirror.
Materials fee: approx £25 per square foot of mosaic. This includes base board, adhesive, standard tile ranges and grout. Tools are provided.
Note: This is in addition to the course fee
You will need to wear safety glasses when you, or others, are cutting tiles

Tuition: 10.00am – 4.30pm*
We take an hour for lunch and breaks whenever you wish
Lunch & refreshments are included in the course fee
Help yourself to drinks & biscuits. Home-made cake mid afternoon
*Note: Wednesday afternoon is untutored time, leaving you free to explore the local area or continue working in the studio if you wish. A packed lunch will be provided on this day to eat in or take away with you.
