Fashion unique items of jewellery in this amazing medium. Pendants, earrings & charms can be sculpted just like clay, then kiln-fired to form hallmark quality silver.
This is a new way of working with metal – without the need for traditional silversmithing tools. Art Clay Silver consists of minute particles of silver dust held in a binder which can be sculpted just like clay. Once dried out and fired, it fuses together to produce solid silver. A small kiln will be available in the studio. Lori will demonstrate how to fire your pieces and offer advice on further projects to continue at home.
Learn various techniques including how to manipulate the clay, add texture, set fireable stones in 3 different ways, create detail, add colour and produce a handmade bail for your chain.
Suitable for both beginners and those with some jewellery or Silver Clay (PMC) experience.
“Many thanks for an inspiring weekend, spent in the company of enthusiastic people in such delightful surroundings.”
