Let the sunlight flood in…through your own handcrafted window hanging. Using the copper foil (Tiffany) technique you will create a beautiful stained glass light catcher to take home.
Perfect for beginners or improvers, you will learn how to cut, shape and join glass. Templates are provided or you may wish to develop your own simple design to fit within a 5 inch diameter metal hoop. Add beads and wire to finish and display. Practise basic skills and gain confidence with glass. No previous experience required.

Lin has been working with glass for over 20 years. She specialises in both lead and copper foil techniques; making, teaching and restoring. Along with a team of craftspeople, her most recent prestigious project has been the restoration of the windows at Manchester Town Hall – all 587 of them! Materials
Coloured glass, 5 inch metal hoop, copper foil, solder, wire, glass nuggets, beads and consumables.
Materials fee: £20 per person (payable to the tutor at the end)
This is in addition to the course fee
Health & Safety: This workshop involves the handling and soldering of metals (lead, tin & copper). It also requires the use of sharp materials, hot tools and chemicals. Protective goggles, gloves and dust masks will be provided. Whilst every effort is made to keep the studio environment safe and well ventilated, if you are pregnant/breastfeeding or suffer from asthma or dermatitis, you should seek medical advice before booking this course.
Lunch & Refreshments
A tasty light lunch is included in the course fee. Help yourself to drinks and biscuits throughout the day with homemade cake mid-afternoon. (Please let us know of any dietary requirements).
