COURSES: TERMS & CONDITIONS
Our studio is on the first floor. Regrettably we cannot accommodate those with reduced mobility.
Parts of the property are very old, with steps and some uneven floors both inside and out
HEALTH & SAFETY
Some workshops involve heat, sharp edges, chemicals and the use of tools.
Customers must comply with all health & safety instructions as directed by the tutor.
Before booking, please read any health & safety notes specific to your course.
Course Fees must be paid in full, in advance. Lunch and refreshments are included.
An additional Materials Fee applies. This is payable to the tutor at the end of the workshop.
Our courses are non-residential but we offer accommodation which may be booked separately.
You can reserve a course place by phone/email. A deposit is then required to secure the booking.
The balance is due a month before the event.
Payment is by bank transfer or cheque (sorry, no cards).
We recommend customers arrange their own insurance as payments are non-refundable in the event of your cancellation
Cancellation over a month before the event
Your deposit may be transferred to another course from our programme – but not refunded
Cancellation within a month of the event
Your deposit may be transferred to another course from our programme – but regrettably your balance payment is non-refundable and non-transferable to another event.
You are welcome to send someone else to attend in your place – but the onus is on you to arrange this.
If, for reasons beyond our control, we have to cancel a course, customers will receive a full refund or the chance to transfer to another event. This occasionally happens if we receive an insufficient number of bookings.
Should the advertised tutor be unable to attend, we reserve the right to substitute a tutor of equal standing.
Customers are responsible for their own insurance. Zantium Studios Ltd cannot accept liability for loss or damage to personal possessions during your visit. Vehicles and contents are left at owner’s risk. We recommend customers take out their own Cancellation Insurance (see above).
We have a top Food Hygiene Rating of 5.
Any special dietary requirements must be communicated in advance and we will do our best to cater to your needs. However, customers with allergies or severe intolerances should bring their own food. Our kitchen is in a domestic setting and we cannot guarantee a “free-from” environment
Workshops are generally suitable for those aged 12 and above.
No smoking anywhere inside the house and studio.
Wi-Fi coverage here is reasonable but mobile phone signal poor.
We have a small dog, a few hens and a visiting peacock – but cannot accept visiting pets.
‘Open’ vouchers should be used within approximately 2 years of purchase.
A voucher for a specific event may be transferred to a different date, giving at least a month’s notice, preferably more.
We would like to take photos during the workshops for use in our marketing activities. Please speak up if you prefer not to be photographed. We aim to share any positive feedback to help promote our business. Full names/addresses are never published. Please let us know if you have any objections to this.
