Create 2 beautiful hand-crafted brushes on this immensely satisfying workshop. Learn how to bind natural fibres into ‘turkey wing’ or ‘fan’ brooms using traditional techniques. A choice of plant fibres and coloured threads offer various combinations.
Your first piece will use Tampico, a soft, workable fibre which is perfect as a dusting or table brush. The stiffer fibre, Broomcorn, is an option for your second brush, brilliant for sweeping floors or rugs. Using construction methods seen across the world, these brushes will make chores a delight – if you can bear to use them, that is! – and make attractive wall pieces.
“I am thrilled with my brushes and thoroughly enjoyed the making process“
