Silver Clay Jewellery – 1 or 2 day course

The Course

Create unique items of jewellery in this amazing medium. Art Clay Silver is a new way of working with metal. It consists of minute particles of silver dust held in a binder which can be sculpted just like clay. Once dried out and fired, it fuses together to produce hallmark quality silver.

1 Day Workshop
Learn various techniques including how to manipulate the clay, add texture, set fireable stones in 3 different ways, create detail, add colour and produce a handmade bail for your chain.

2 Day Course
Design and make several items of jewellery using 3 different types of Art Clay Silver – the clay, the syringe and the paste.

You will create something in each type of clay: a hollow form, a natural leaf and a pendant with detail, texture and fireable stones. Lori will explain how to make a silicone mould so you can create your own textures and forms for future projects

A small kiln will be available in the studio. Lori will demonstrate how to fire your pieces and offer advice on further projects to continue at home.

Suitable for both beginners and those with some jewellery or silver clay (PMC) experience.
