Description
Make a beautiful hand-bound journal/sketchbook using traditional methods and materials. Choose your own decorative cover and create a classic leather spine.
Through precise folding, stitching, pasting and pressing you will produce a unique hardback book to take home. Professional bookbinder, Anna, will guide you through the making process step by step. Choose from a selection of papers for your covers, complimented by leather trim.
Your finished book will be landscape format and measure approx. 15 x 10cm (6 x 4 inches). Perfect for your notes and sketches or to present as a special gift.
Open to both beginners and those with experience, this workshop teaches basic skills with impressive results.
Note: This class can be booked along with Bookbinding & Paper Marbling on Sat 25th Apr 2026 as a 2-day course.

Tutor: Anna Yevtukh
Anna studied Art & Bookbinding in Ukraine and has been making stylish, inventive books since 1998. Her books are objects of art, designed through considerable thought, created with passion and constructed to the highest quality.
As a member of the Society of Bookbinders and the Guild of Designer Craftsmen, she exhibits at specialist fairs and galleries. Her work features in private collections worldwide.

Materials
Plain & patterned papers, leather, greyboard, threads and adhesive. All tools are provided.
Materials fee: £15 per person.
This is in addition to the course fee.
Lunch & Refreshments
A tasty light lunch is included in the course fee. Help yourself to drinks and snacks throughout the day with homemade cake mid-afternoon. (Please let us know of any dietary requirements).
