Festive Willow Reindeer (1 day)

Description

Weave your own willow reindeer in day…just in time for Christmas. Add fairy lights, if you wish, to give some festive sparkle. Willow sculptor, Joelle, will guide you through the creative process – from antlers to tail!

Your finished reindeer sculpture will measure approximately 60 x 90 cm and is suitable for indoor or outdoor display. Course open to all – from beginners to those with experience.

Joelle is a Derbyshire based willow artist with a background in conservation. She is an experienced willow sculptor, basket maker and wildlife enthusiast.

Materials

Somerset willow, traditionally grown for basketry. White LED micro-lights x 200.
Materials fee: £10 for willow and optional £10 for lights & batteries (payable to the tutor at the end)
This is in addition to the course fee

Health & safety: Working with willow requires reasonable strength and dexterity in the hands. If this is a concern, feel free to chat to us before booking. 

Lunch & Refreshments

A tasty light lunch is included in the course fee. Help yourself to drinks and biscuits throughout the day with homemade cake mid-afternoon. (Please let us know of any dietary requirements).

Timing

Arrival: Join us from 9.30am to settle in
Tuition: 10.00am – 5.00pm (with a break for lunch)
