Description

Imagine the thrill of catching fish using your own hand-tied fishing flies! Our course offers the perfect introduction to this heritage craft. You will create a number of tried and tested designs to take to the water.

Employing both modern and traditional techniques we will make dry flies, nymphs, lures and attractor patterns. Peter will guide you through the processes step by step, using a range of natural and synthetic materials. Replicate nature with classics such as the Blue Winged Olive, Pheasant Tail Nymph or Gold Ribbed Hares Ear.

You will produce a collection of fishing flies to take home, ideal for streams, rivers and lakes. Carsington Water is just a mile away, so you needn’t go far to later try out your creations.
This class is suitable for absolute beginners, anglers or non-anglers alike.

“This is a fantastic introductory course with all the resources and support I needed as a complete beginner”
